Review: The No Kill Solutions conference presented by Nathan Winograd on May 3-4, 2008 was a sellout.
People attended from as far away as Texas, Nevada, Oregon, North Carolina, Minnesota and Delaware. The message was loud and clear: There is no excuse to be killing animals for convenience or space. Winograd presented the formula of the No Kill Equation of proven techniques, programs, services and committed leadership that achieve these results. No one left the conference disappointed.
Here’s what attendees had to say:
“Excellent presentation! Lots of great info for animal-lovers – can utilize to hopefully change entrenched, antiquated animal welfare beliefs! Fantastic! Thanks Nathan.” - Donna “Mae” Nelson, Carthage, MO
“Well worth the cross-country trip. I fly back to Oregon with a tremendous amount of helpful information and renewed resolve. Thank you!” - Debi McNamra, Dexter, Oregon.
“This was an educational experience that exceeded expectations. It raised awareness on animal issues I never even knew existed. Thank you!” - Tammie Variano, Wadsworth, IL.
“Great conference! Very motivating and uplifting presentation. Provided tools to take back to my community that I can actually use. I strongly recommend this conference to anyone interested in No Kill sheltering.” - Lisa Weiler, Florence, KY.
“I believe this is simply the single most important message to save animals in Indianapolis (or anywhere else) ….ever.” Greg Brush, Greenfield, IN.
“Amazing! I’ve read his books and articles and receive his info regularly. But this conference was very worthwhile. I flew here from Conyers/Atlanta GA. I can’t wait to take Nathan’s message back to Rochdale County, GA. Move to ACT did a great job with the conference. Good place, good people, good refreshments!” - Pam Cheatham, Conyers, GA.
“It gave me hope and renewed energy to move forward. Thank you!” Mona Martinek, West Lafayette, IN.
“What can I say? Nathan Winograd, as always, is an effective, motivating speaker. Move to ACT brought this much needed conference to us, and I thank them. This conference helped organize our plan of action for our local animal control. He makes so much sense, and more than that, gives us a way to make it happen locally. Awesome and powerful!” - Connie Szawara, Westville, IN.
“Nathan Winograd’s lecture on No Kill was inspirational and life changing – hopefully will lead to dramatic change @ ACC and HIS. Nathans No Kill movement is a bible for animal control and shelters to follow. Thanks to move to ACT for bringing Nathan and re-energizing the animal welfare reform in Indianapolis.” - Maureen Owen, Cicero, IN.
“After reading REDEMPTION, this weekend’s seminar by author Nathan Winograd did so much to powerfully incite action for No Kill sheltering activists. Thanks Move to ACT!” - Curtis Stewart, Chicago, IL.
“This conference was a vital turning point for my community’s ability to becoming No Kill.” Nicole DeMaranville - Manhattan, KS.
“The best conference I’ve ever attended. Direct no-nonsense information, ideas and suggestions that will produce immediate results of improved adoptions and No Kill options.” Sue Hildebrandt. Indianapolis, IN.
“Excellent presentation with lots of good ideas. This should be a must for all shelters. Not just municipal shelters. Private shelters and rescue groups may not be able to do everything but they can do a lot which will make huge changes.” Robin Kennedy, Indianapolis, IN
“I love Nathan’s book REDEMPTION and use it regularly as a reference. I sincerely enjoyed the No Kill Solutions Conference and also appreciate Move to ACT sponsoring this opportunity for (all) of the organizations in attendance here today. What a great educational experience!” Tammy Sollenberger, Noblesville, IN.
